You know the kind of person
That you try so hard to be.
And deep inside you know it's there
But no one else can see.

And when you bake cookies
Just to be nice to a friend
It doesn't make them feel better
They just get sick in the end.

So just remember the next time you want
To be there for someone else,
Sometimes it really is better
To just think of yourself.
